Unlike other content management systems out there, there is no installation or setup required with doctopus, you simply register. This lets you easily offer your clients a content management solution that is easy and flexible to use, which makes you seem much more professional and knowledgeable.

Our privacy controls are an easy way for you to keep your content to yourself or to a small group of people. This lets you create private discussion groups using our forums, with only the members you want involved. Likewise it lets you keep your website content hidden and only allows those people you wish, to view it.

Doctopus has two methods to control privacy. One method is by simply adding other doctopus users through our interface. The second method allows you to set a passcode which users can enter like a password for the site. This gives you enough flexibility to keep a core set of users as permanent members and a few temporary users if need be through the use of a passcode which can be easily changed at any time.

Embedding allows you to extend your site and elements from other sources on the internet. This includes a variety of elements from around the internet, the more common being videos, maps and web forms. All you need is the embed tags provided from any of these sources and you can add these features to your site easily.

But perhaps the most important embeddable feature would be advertising. We allow you to embed ads from any ad source that provides tags for it. FREE: With a free website you will be forced to use one of our ads on each page and in the forums there will be an ad just below the header.

PAID: With a paid site you will pay $10/month for each website and $5/month for each forum.

Whether you decide to go paid or free, you still get full access to all the features in doctopus. This means you can still add your own ads and make your own profits. We believe that this unique feature allows you to first grow your site until it covers the cost of running without our ads.
